Fruits are not coming in the market right now, although sales will start soon. This will take a few days.

This is the time for special care of litchi trees. If you do not pay attention then the tree does not bear fruits properly. By applying two fertilizers to litchi in the month of April, the size of the fruit also increases. Therefore, farmers doing litchi gardening should pay special attention to increase the fruits of litchi this month.

Do this remedy to increase size
Vikas Kumar Das, director of Litchi Research Center, Muzaffarpur, said that litchi trees start bearing fruits from March. To increase the size of fruits, farmers should apply 450 to 500 grams of urea and 250 to 300 grams of potash to the plants. After applying fertilizer to the plants, irrigate them. Apart from this, make urea solution and spray it on the fruit every 7 to 10 days as per need. By doing this the size of the fruit increases.

litchi seeds will not fall
Das said that due to high temperature this month, litchi grains have started falling rapidly. To save the fruits, after 7 to 10 days of fruit setting, one milliliter of Planofix should be added to 4.5 liters of water and its solution should be sprayed. After this, farmers should continue this spraying for the next 15 days also. After this spraying there will be reduction in fruit fall. If litchi fruit is falling then farmers can also adopt some other measures. When the litchi fruit becomes slightly larger in size, lightly irrigate the garden. This will provide better irrigation to the plant, due to which the fruits will not fall. If the fruits have grown a little, then add 350 grams of urea and 250 grams of potassium sulphate to the plants. With this, plants and fruits will continue to get nutrients and the fruits will not fall. Along with this, the size of the fruit will also increase.

Take these measures to protect litchi from insects
After the litchi bears fruit, the infestation of fruit and seed borer insects also increases. This insect enters the new fruits and eats them. Due to this, fruits fall, due to which farmers get less production and also suffer losses. To protect the fruits from this insect, the orchard should be cleaned regularly. Apart from this, the insects should be sprayed with Delta Methrin mixed with one ml per liter of water. By doing this, pests do not appear and the quality of fruits improves.
